Even before the first part of the new science fiction series Foundation has been fully aired by Apple TV+, we have received good news from the streaming service: the arrival of a second season has been officially confirmed! The streaming service announced this in a press release.
Apple TV+ extends foundation with second season
Good news for fans of the Apple Original series Foundation, because in a press release the streaming service already announced that a second season will be made. Matt Cherniss, so-called Head of Programming at Apple TV+ said the following:
“We have been so excited to watch global audiences embrace the captivating, suspenseful and breathtaking thrill ride that is ‘Foundation’. We know how long fans of these beloved Asimov stories have waited to see his iconic work brought to life as a visually spectacular event series and now we can’t wait to showcase even more of the richly layered world, compelling storytelling and stunning world-building that David S. Goyer has created in season two.”
Do we know yet when Foundation season 2 is coming to Apple TV+?
Apple TV+ has not yet let us know when the second season is expected, but since production has yet to start, it seems unlikely that the episodes will appear online before the end of 2022. We’ll keep you updated via the article about Foundation season 2 on Apple TV+.
